Is it possile
to convert a virtual machine for use with the Hyper-V
in a virtual machine bootable from a VHD in Windows 7 ?
I am asking this question because I hope to keep thing simple on my notebook (OS: Windows 7), which I am using to test VM.
If you have a better idea for a test enviroment on a PC (without the need to install Windows Server 2008 + Hyper-V)
please let me know.
Thank you.joPol

It's definitely worth a shot to boot the VHD in a virtual machine and see what happens, most of the time it works, occasionally it fails. Windows 7 doesn't have Hyper-V built in, so you could use something like VirtualBox, but I recently upgraded to Windows
8, which has Hyper-V, and I use it for my VMs now.
